Artemisia dranunculus var. sativa is a fantastic culinary herb! French Tarragon's may be used fresh or dried to add flavoring to fish, meats, vegetables, eggs, salads, sauces or vinegars. Clumps should be trimmed to the ground in early spring. Divide clumps every 3 to 4 years. NOTE: Beware of Tarragon that is not listed under this particular species and cultivar as it may not be true, French Tarragon, but an inferior relative, Russian Tarragon. Prefers some shade during hot summer afternoons. Mulch over winter to protect roots.
